Squirrel-proof feeders are not an option, and the squirrel baffles at stores are too big to fit around the shepherds hook that they're on. Now I seldom fill the feeders, because the next morning they will just swing it around and spill it! Or just enjoy the squirrels - they're cute!
I would glue broken glass shards and razors point up all around the branch where the bird feeder is hanging.
use fishing line to hang the feeder the squirrels can't climb it and it fun to watch
